Sensor for checking the pressing force on the hydraulic press. The sensor has the shape of a part that is manufactured by the press, the parameters of the press are set using the sensor. The sensor has a built-in system of springs that provide a defined compression of the sensor depending on the force (0.5 mm / kN). Force measuring range: 10 kN, stroke: 5 mm.
Two sensors must be used for the measurement, each end of the shaft is attached to the central hole of one sensor. It is possible to measure the weight of the material on the shaft or the force with which the material surrounds the shaft. The direction of the load is set by turning the sensors.
The sensor measures the force acting in the center of the pin, in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the pin. The shown sensor is used to measure the adjusting forces at railway switches. The sensor has two full strain gauge bridges, which means that the force does not have to act exactly in the middle of the pin, but within a certain allowable range.
A strip (e.g. rubber) is guided through three rollers, the middle roller is mounted on a strain gauge force sensor. When pulling, the strip acts on the middle roller and on the force sensor also. After the recalculation, the tension force can be measured. The sensor has a mechanical overload protection.
The sensor can be used to measure the load in two axes, e.g. during bearing tests. It is also possible to measure the shaft load in two axes etc.
